About the Recovery Coach Program

Recovery Coaching is a professional relationship. This relationship is collaborative in nature and is focused on a strengths based model. It is also designed to assist clients identify and move “barriers” aside that prevent them from potentializing. The relationship is not unlike any other professional relationship a client may have with say a psychotherapist, doctor or lawyer. It is based on trust, experience and mutuality.

The most significant difference between a Recovery Coach and other helping professionals is the Recovery Coach is trained to focus is on “empowering” the client to do for themselves what they dreamed about. It is through the motivation, guidance and accountability Coaches provide that transformation occurs.

SoberSystems Mobile Recovery Management App

Included with your purchase of Recovery Coach Training is access to our new recovery management application suite, SoberSystems. SoberSystems is a mobile recovery management program designed to work as an additional tool for strengthening the recovering person’s commitment to ongoing success and their recovery assets.

The intent is to reduce relapse and provide fast access for early intervention. The interactive program allows the recovering person to participate in their recovery while monitoring their personal development and accountability by a designated care manager (s). The simple design and targeted features encourage user-friendly activity without complication.

History of Sober Network

The Sober Network, founded by Dr. Harold Jonas, is the force behind Recovery Coaches. Dr. Jonas and the company has been and continues to be dedicated to helping people in recovery since beginning his own journey in 1987. Recognizing his calling early in the process, Dr. Jonas has worked at different agency settings in a variety of positions, starting private practice since 1993. In 2000, his first Internet project, Sober.Com went LIVE and has grown into a prosperous and profitable business. During that time, Dr. Jonas achieved his Doctorate in Addictions Studies focusing on Continuing Care and disease management. Out of this study came “SoberSystems” and the recognition that passionate, committed and caring supports were critical and enormously beneficial to a person’s recovery.

These supports were friends, family and peers. Research was being conducted also recognizing the benefit of peer support and from this Recovery Coaching evolved. When we began treating addiction as the long term chronic disease that it is, the idea of staying connected became paramount. The SoberSystems was conceptualized and integrated into Sober.Com in 2004. It has been refined into today’s version found atwww.sobersystems.com where you can also find links to download it on Android or iOS devices. Sober.com, LLC, is the parent company ofwww.sobercoaches.info. This is our gateway to a new way of living. We are licensed by The Florida Department of Children and Families for aftercare, and we specialize in serving individuals who seek the greatest joys and happiness in life. The company envisions SoberSystems being one of the critical tools Recovery Coaches can utilize to better assist their clients to stay on the path to recovery.
